Angie Vázquez, the singer of the group Vázquez Sounds, is getting married. She announced it on Monday, October 26 on her social media.
Her fiancé is Diego Talamas, who works in the financial sector and keeps a low profile: his Instagram is private.
How the proposal happened
It was over the weekend in Chihuahua, at an orchard owned by his family. Angie was there preparing a business.
After a day with the family, they climbed a hill. There, facing a field of cactus, Diego asked her to marry him. She said she was in shock and took a while to answer.
Both families celebrated with champagne, and that same day there was a party with her closest friends, organized by him.
All on social media
On TikTok she posted a video on a plane showing the ring, with Taylor Swift's song Love Story. On Instagram she shared photos of the proposal with a message: together for a lifetime.
They have been together for almost five years and are also business partners in a coffee shop, Solovino Café.
The Vázquez Sounds cover of Adele's Rolling in the Deep, from 2011, passed 290 million plays.
The girl who went viral
Angie, 25, born in Mexicali, Baja California, became famous as a child with her brothers Gustavo and Abelardo.
The group split up in 2020 so each could pursue their own projects. That is why many fans were surprised: they still remembered her as a little girl.
There is still no date or venue for the wedding.
